Getting to the Isle of Man

By Sea

Sailings are multiple times daily, from Heysham or Liverpool to Douglas with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

Ferries sail from Heysham, with a crossing time of approximately 3 hours 30 minutes. The SeaCat sails from Liverpool with a crossing time of approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.

Both foot passenger and car crossings are available, and there are good rail links to either port. Alternatively, we may be able to link up guests to travel together - please let us know if you would be interested!

There are often offers for 5 day visits by sea - check the Steam Packet website for more details. We are planning to go from thursday to tuesday.

Once you are on the Isle of Man, the easiest way to get around is by car, although public transport is available.

By Air

Frequent flights are available to the Isle of Man, to Ronaldsway Airport in the south of the Island.

Carriers are Flybe, Easyjet and Citiwing, and flights are available from Manchester, Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle, Blackpool, Gloucester, London City (British Airways) and London Gatwick. Unfortunately, flights will no longer be available from London Stansted by the time of the wedding.

Car rental is available from the airport, or buses are available.
